A man has been airlifted to hospital after a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to the A3066, which links Bridport to Crewkerne, yesterday morning.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called by a member of the public shortly before 7.30am to a road traffic collision at North Perrott Road, Crewkerne.
Firefighters from Yeovil and Beaminster were immediately sent by fire control.
On arrival, they found one man was trapped inside a vehicle following a two vehicle road traffic collision.
Crews worked to stabilise the vehicle and make it safe before removing the side of the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the casualty.
He was transported to hospital by Devon Air Ambulance.
Police closed the road for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
