A town centre street is closed in Sherborne after a fire started in a manhole outside a shop.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at 7.23am.
Two crews were sent to the scene – one from Sherborne and the other from Yeovil.
No one was injured, but Cheap Street has been closed to pedestrians and traffic.
Luckily the fire didn’t spread to the shop.
A spokesman for the fire service says the crew from Yeovil has now left, while the Sherborne crew remains at the scene to support electrical engineers.
The engineers have been isolating the supply and investigating further.
