It comes after a cold weather alert was issued for Dorset.
Temperatures plunged below freezing for many last night and it is expected to be very cold again today, although it will be sunny and clear.
Dorset Council's gritting teams were out on their first salt run of 2020 overnight on Friday and were out again last night and early today treating routes.
Police and fire authorities remind drivers to remember to give yourself time before your journey and to clear your windscreen and windows fully so you have clear vision all round.
