Weymouth harbour Picture: Graham Hunt
A WEYMOUTH harbourside restaurant is asking for a 5 x 3metre painting of a sailor and a mermaid on its outside wall.
Les Enfants Terribles on Custom House Quay says the picture, similar to one inside the building, will be in keeping with the area.
It has asked Dorset Council to grant planning permission for the artwork on a side wall to the right of the main entrance.
It says the picture will not be seen by buildings on the opposite of the harbour and will only be visible when walking from the Pavilion direction.
