ONE of my New Year’s resolutions was to use my car as little as possible and to take the train whenever sensibly practicable.
Last weekend, I did a return trip from Wareham to Christchurch on Saturday and to Weymouth on Sunday. Three of the four trains were significantly delayed and, on my return from Christchurch, I caught a train which was 54 minutes late and terminated at Wareham instead of Weymouth.
If you add to this the disruption caused by the pointless and counterproductive strike throughout December, I cannot help but feel that my good intentions are being thwarted by the incompetent management of SW Trains.
I wonder if they made any resolutions for 2020.
