POLICE seized a car after discovering the driver had no licence, insurance or MOT.
He was stopped by officers as he took a short journey to the shops.
A spokesman for Purbeck Police said: "The driver of this vehicle in Swanage did not expect to be stopped on a short trip to the shop.
"Unfortunately for him, a valid certificate of insurance, a current MOT and a substantive driving licence are required, regardless of the length of the journey.
"The vehicle was recovered by police.
"The driver can expect points on his licence and a fine."
