Police are hunting for a man who attempted to harm some ducks using a catapult.
The animal cruelty incident happened at around 12pm on Sunday, January 26 by the river near to Lubbecke Way in Dorchester.
A group of young people were seen in the area behaving suspiciously and one man was trying to hit some of the ducks on the other side of the river using a catapult.
The man is described as white and aged between 18 and 25 years old.
He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket, black hoodie and black jeans.
The other members of the group did not join in.
A woman who witnessed the incident shouted at the man to stop, at which point the group walked away.
None of the ducks were injured in the incident.
