LAMBING weekend at Kingston Maurward College, near Dorchester, will be followed by a wedding fair the following weekend.

Taking place on Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1, the annual lambing weekend invites thousands of visitors to meet newborn lambs and their adoring mothers, giving people of all ages a wonderful insight into the beauty of the animal kingdom.

The animal park and gardens will also be open over the weekend, with the chance to meet alpacas, wallabies, pigs, sheep and goats.

Children can enjoy the indoor play facilities at the new barn, while the café will be serving hot and cold snacks and drinks throughout the day.

On Sunday, March 8, Kingston Maurward will welcome more than 40 local wedding supplies at their annual wedding fair.

Visitors can take a look around the venue, set in the heart of the Dorset countryside and boasting an 18th century mansion with lake and gardens. With a parkland approach and elegant sweeping drive, the Georgian house is ideal for a civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Kingston Maurward is also licensed to perform outdoor ceremonies in either the Red Gardens or at the Grecian Temple, followed by a reception in the main house or a marquee on the beach.
