A MAN is due to appear in court in connection with a serious crash involving a street cleaning vehicle and a cyclist.
Shortly before 9am on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, Dorset Police received a report of a collision on Corfe Road in Stoborough, near Wareham, involving a street cleaning vehicle and a pedal cycle.
The cyclist, a local woman aged in her 70s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the street cleaning vehicle was uninjured.
Following an investigation by the traffic unit, a 60-year-old man from the Wareham area has been issued with a postal requisition to appear before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 18, for an offence of driving without due care and attention.
