POLICE have taken measures to shut down a Weymouth property suspected of being a hotbed of drug activity.
The action was taken in response to complaints of drug related activity and anti-social behaviour at an address in the Westham area.
The County Lines Management Team and Aster Housing worked together to secure a Housing Injunction Order on the resident of the property.
The injunction prevents anyone from visiting the address except for the sole occupant and professionals.
The order also prevents the occupant of the address acting in an anti-social manner.
If the injunction is breached then they may be arrested and further action will be taken, putting their tenancy at risk.
A spokesman for Weymouth & Portland Police said: "Dorset Police, in collaboration with partner agencies and the local community, are committed to tackling crime and disorder in order to improve the lives of local residents.
"It is only possible for us to take positive action through partnership working and with the support of public.
