A31 closed due to serious accident
THE A31 eastbound has re-opened and traffic returned to normal following an accident.
The crash happened between the A31 (Picket Post) and M27 J1 (Cadnam). Initial reports said the incident was 'serious' - however police have now said it was a non-injury collision involving a Mercedes which had collided with the central reservation on the A31 eastbound, just past Burley services.
The road was closed from around 06:35 till 07:10 to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
