CELEBRATE the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven with a special Weymouth chamber concert on Wednesday, February 26 at 1pm.
The concert, Beethoven 250, will feature Christopher Horner on the violin and Duncan Honeybourne on the piano.
On the programme will be Beethoven's Violin Sonata in G major, Op 30 No. 3 and Richard Strauss's Violin Sonata in E flat.
Cardiff-based violinist Horner will play Richard Strauss’ masterly and lyrical Violin Sonata, a work full of romantic emotional feeling and Beethoven’s Violin Sonata in G major.
Written in 1802, the year he confessed his deafness in his famous Heiligenstadt Testament and a time of great upheaval in Vienna, it is a work of great positivity, with a rollicking opening movement.
Tickets cost £5 on the door. For more information, email info@weymouthchamberconcerts.com
