A MINI concert tour from Concerts in the West will see a trio of artistes present a multi-sensory performance at Bridport Arts Centre on Friday, February 21.

John Reid on piano, Nicholas Mulroy, tenor, and mixed media artist William Lindley will bring together solo piano, vocals and moving images in one exciting recital. The programme will include works by Schubert, Fauré and Browne.

Catherine Maddocks, founder and director of Concerts in the West, said: "The trio are all well known for their wide-ranging artistic and creative activities. Nicholas and John have worked together in recitals for many years. Last year, William and John started a collaboration to explore the potential for creating site-specific audio-visual experiences, through the combination of solo piano music and projected moving images. This tour, for Concerts in the West, brings the three performers together for the first time."

A professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, John has extensive experience as a chamber musician, song accompanist, soloist and explorer of new music. Similarly, Nicholas has performed at many of the world's greatest concert halls, including the Sydney Opera House, Boston Symphony Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and Berlin Philharmonie.

Concerts in the West is an arts charity which organises and promotes a series of classical and baroque concerts at regional venues across the south. It aims to support young professional musicians who are in the process of establishing their careers, as well as giving West Country residents unique and affordable opportunities to experience world class music.

The performance from John, Nicholas and William will begin at 11.30pm. Tickets are £12 with concessions available and coffee included. To book, visit the Bridport Arts Centre website or contact the box office. Tickets may also be available on the door.
