LIBERAL Democrats, who are the second largest group on Dorset Council, have set up a shadow cabinet.
The party, which has 29 seats, are the substantive opposition to the ruling Conservative group.
Group leader Cllr Nick Ireland said: βIn order that we may more effectively scrutinise the activity of the one-party Tory executive, and promote the policies and values that the Liberal Democrats represent, we have taken the decision to establish a Shadow Cabinet. organised on our priorities.β
Cabinet roles β deputy leader Andy Canning; finance Matt Hall; climate Maria Rose; housing Gill Taylor; highways David Taylor; economy and culture Pete Barrow; children Stella Jones; adults & health Beryl Ezzard; planning Shane Bartlett and transport Derek Beer.
