Three artists are bringing their new show about displacement, identity and migration to Bridport’s Lyric Theatre on Friday, February 21.

Spoken word and performance artist Sunara Begum makes her debut show, Who Am I, featuring Butoh dancer Yumino Seki and kora player Tunde Jegede.

The show looks at notions of displacement, identity and migration and is an exploration of the body as memory within an intrinsic landscape of music.

WHO AM I is an interdisciplinary performance about identity, notions of home, migration and memory using movement, spoken word, film and music.

Through a myriad of ways, the piece confronts the landscape of our physical and metaphysical reality as well as the mythical nuances of our past.

With the launch of her debut album of the same name, Sunara Begum embarks on her first national UK tour with performances across the country.

These three artists bring this evocative new show on a 7-date across the UK. Previous audiences at The Lyric may recall that Tunde came to Bridport in the show Emidy a few years ago, as a kora musician.
