A SALISBURY pub which closed its doors earlier this week has now reopened for business.
The Royal George, in Bedwin Street, which has been branded as "our very own country pub in the city" by punters, shut on Monday after landlord Michelle Heaton stepped down after six months at the helm.
However, as of yesterday, it was back open again, and still welcoming customers.
This comes despite a heartfelt message on Facebook this week from the former landlord.
Michelle said: "It is with great sadness that I had to close the doors on the Royal George today [February 17].
"Thank you to my lovely staff and all my wonderful customers who have made the last six months an absolute joy!
"I hope that whoever comes in next understands what a gem of a 'community pub' the George is and how magical it can be!
She added: "Thank you for everything. I made some life long friends and couldn't be more grateful to you all."
