POLICE are investigating reports of marbles being fired from a car in a Dorset high street.

Dorset Police have asked residents in Sixpenny Handley to check CCTV cameras after it was reported that marbles were being fired from a vehicle at around 2pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: "We have had a report of four persons in a vehicle firing marbles from a silver Peugeot 205 or 305 with roof bars in the High Street in Sixpenny Handley.

"If you have CCTV please check it and let us know - our reference is 55200028476.

"Please report any sighting or information to Dorset Police on 101 or on 999 if they are firing projectiles from the vehicle."
