A SOME Like it Hot fundraising gala due to be held in Dorchester has been cancelled.
It was due to be held at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Friday, February 28 to raise money for Dorchester Arts.
The arts organisation was thrilled by the generosity of local and national personalities and businesses who donated some amazing gifts and experiences to be auctioned under the hammer of Gary Batt of Dukes Auctioneers.
An online auction will still be held, a Dorchester Arts spokesman said.
The theme of the gala was due to be Some Like It Hot, based on the famous film starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis.
Little big band AJ’s Caravan Band was due to provide the music.
