POLICE are calling on witnesses to come forward following a burglary near Sturminster Newton.

A home on Burton Street, Marnhull was reportedly broken into on Saturday, February 22 between 10.30am and 1.45pm. It is said that valuables including jewellery, a bank card and some cash were taken during the break-in.

Police Constable William Saunders of Dorset Police said: "I am appealing for anyone with any information about this burglary, or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time, to please contact us."
