A crash led to the closure of the ridgeway.
The A354 between Weymouth and Dorchester was closed this morning due to a crash near Monkton Hill.
Emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision shortly before 10am.
Police attended with the fire and ambulance services and the road was closed.
The local authority was requested to deal with an oil spillage on the road.
It reopened at midday.
