A FLOOD warning has been issued for Weymouth as foul weather is set to hit Dorset once again.
The Environment Agency has put a flood warning in effect for the River Wey from Upwey to Weymouth.
The agency says that the river levels have risen as a result of "persistent heavy rainfall."
A flood warning means that flooding is expected and immediate action needs to be taken.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow weather warning for rain.
This warning is in effect from 10am until 6pm today. It covers much of eastern Dorset.
The Met Office warns that the rain may cause some flooding and disruption to transport, including delays to bus and train services and spray and flooding on roads.
Police are urging people to exercise caution on wet roads.
A spokesman for Purbeck Police said: "It's awful out there this morning. If you are driving please drive to the conditions. Slow down, increase your stopping distance and be aware of standing water on the roads."

Groundwater flooding for the North Winterborne, north of the A354
Groundwater flooding for the North Winterborne, south of the A354
Groundwater flooding for the Piddle Valley
Groundwater flooding for the South Winterbourne Valley
River Wey from Upwey to Weymouth
Flood alerts - which advise people to be prepared - are also in effect for the following areas:
Groundwater flooding in the Cranborne Chase area
Groundwater flooding in the West of Dorset
Lower Frome and tributaries
Purbeck Rivers and Streams
River Piddle and tributaries
Weymouth Rivers and Streams
