RESIDENTS are being invited to put forward suggestions for improving a park on Portland at a community meeting this month.
Easton Gardens at Tophill could benefit from developer contribution money that is ring fenced for improvements at the park - otherwise known as a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
A condition attached is that the money can only be spent on Easton Gardens - so in order for the community to benefit, residents are being asked to put forward suggestions on how it can be put to good use - otherwise the money will not be spent.
To debate ideas, Portland Town Councillor Giovanna Lewis - who is briefholder for Easton Gardens - is inviting residents to a meeting.
Anyone who uses the park, or has an interest in its future, can attend the event, which is to be held at Easton Methodist Hall, Easton Square on Monday March 23 from 7pm onwards.
Residents are asked to bring a pen and paper. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Those who are unable to attend can also make suggestions by calling 07421995096 or emailing clerk@portlandtowncouncil.gov.uk or by writing to The Town Clerk, Portland Town Council, Portland Community Venue, Fortuneswell, DT5 1JN.
