Police are looking for this man after an incident in which plants and stones were thrown at a supermarket security guard.

Officers investigating an assault and criminal damage incident at a supermarket in Blandford have issued this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

At about 2pm on Monday, February 17 a report was received that a security guard was assaulted at Tesco in Stour Park.

A man was seen acting suspiciously in the alcohol aisle so the security guard approached him and the man become aggressive.

It is reported that the man threw items from the store at the security guard. When asked to leave the store, he picked up a bottle of alcohol from the shelf and threw it on the floor.

The security guard took the man out of the supermarket. Once outside, it is reported that the man picked up plants and stones and threw them at the security guard.

A window was smashed during the incident.

Police Constable Matt Weldon, of North Dorset police, said: “Following enquiries I have obtained a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak with as part of my investigation.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
