Enjoy a freshly-cooked breakfast and raise money for Bridport Food Festival at the same time.

The Bridport Local Food Group which organises the festival will be holding a big breakfast event on Sunday, March 15 at St Mary’s Church Hall.

On offer will be traditional English Breakfast with vegetarian option, and from 10am a choice of Indian Breakfast – Paratha and vegetarian curry or Pouri and Aloo Bhajee - very kindly prepared and served by Helen Choudhury from the Taj Mahal.

The breakfast will include locally sourced produce and will be served with apple juice, toast and coffee or tea.

Kathy Dare, Bridport Local Food Group Chairman, said: “We want Bridport’s Best Breakfast to be exactly that. A breakfast that showcases our wonderful producers and suppliers. We are very pleased to have some of the producers joining us too. Alongside we will be holding a raffle for an afternoon tea hamper. We hope to welcome you and all your friends so please spread the word, and bring as many people as possible to ensure this is a great event. We look forward to seeing you there.”

The cost of the breakfast will be £8 on the door or £7 in advance from the Bridport TIC, meanwhile, children under 14 will pay £4 on the door and £3 in advance.

The big breakfast event will take place from 9am to 12noon.
