* Do you know an older person who needs help, but are not sure who to contact? Age UK, a charity which has branches across north, south and west Dorset, is coordinating requests for help with issues relating to loneliness and isolation, or support in accessing items such as food, cash or medication. For advice or to request help, email enquiries@ageuknswd.org.uk or call 01305 269444. Each request will be individually assessed and categorised according to the individual’s level of need.
*Community groups and charities needing advice can now contact Dorset Community Action on 01202 847609 between 11am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. The group is putting together alternatives to our usual networking and training events.You can also visit the website, www.dorsetcommunityaction.org.uk for regular updates.
* Individuals who want to volunteer to help but are not sure where to start, can register with the Dorset Volunteering Centre at www.volunteeringdorset.org.uk
