Sadly, but inevitably, people are being urged not to visit their mothers today to celebrate Mother's Day.

But we wish everybody well and phone calls and facetime, if possible, should be used instead.

Boris Johnson urged people to resist visiting as he warned the outbreak is accelerating.

1.5m people deemed at high risk are being 'strongly advised' to stay at home for the next 12 weeks.

If you would like to share with everyone what your mum means to you please email newsdesk@dorsetecho.co.uk and we will publish all the responses.

*I would like to say happy mothers day to our mum sarah parker.

Happy mother's day to the best mum me and dan could ask for, words can not explain how much you mean to us. You are loving, caring, beautiful and certainly one of a kind, and we couldn't imagine life without you. You support us in ways that we cant thank you enough for; for always trying to make us stay strong in our hardest of times. You are much more appreciated than you realise and you are loved more than you will ever know. Every day I want to show and tell you how much we love you . But words don't always feel like enough. You deserve everything that makes you happy. You work your butt off to provide a happy, loving, safe home for your family and that's what makes you the person you are. You should be proud of yourself for doing the things that you do and try and keep it together. You say to us that you are always there for us, but it works both ways. We're always here for you as well. We couldn't be more proud than to call you our mum. We love and miss you millions. I am such a lucky girl to have you in my life, and one I'm proud to call mum. I may not be your blood child, but blood doesn't always make you family. Unconditional love makes a family, and I have a lot of unconditional love for you . I am grateful beyond words to know I have a loving caring beautiful mum by my side and that means everything to me, I cant thank you enough for your kindness, your love and all the support you have given me. You deserve every happiness that life can give you , because you give that to everyone you know. You have and always will have a special place in my heart, I love you with all my heart and more mum. Lastly Nan would be very proud of how you have coped the last couple of years. She is always looking down on you making sure you get through each day. She was and is an inspiration and you are too. Happy mother's day mum, me and dan love you millions always have always will. 💛❤️💚😊❤️. #mothersday #oneinamillion #ourmum. Xxx
