FOUR Weymouth businesses have joined forces to deliver takeaways to people's homes.

Weyline Taxis, Bee Cars, Shalims Indian Restaurant and Fish ’n’ Fritz are launching a takeaway delivery service to Weymouth residents.

Business owners say they wish to bring a degree of normality to people's lives and continue the availability of occasional treat meals for people to enjoy during the coronavirus outbreak.

Ian Ferguson of Weyline said: “The coronavirus situation is rapidly changing and the way we do things for the foreseeable future will be different. I reached out to some of my business friends in the restaurant trade, to see how my businesses could help them and this new delivery service came out of those discussions. This scheme helps local businesses keep money flowing locally rather than going straight out of Weymouth to some corporate head office elsewhere. If we all work together and support each other, we can get through the difficult months ahead.”

Anyone who fancies a curry or craves some fish and chips should go online to the businesses website to check out the delivery menu, give the restaurant a call, order their food and Weyline or Bee Cars will deliver it their door.

Any local businesses that wish to get involved with the group should call Ian on 01305 752146.
