I WOULD like to express my gratitude to those kind persons, mainly queueing patiently in Sainsbury’s car park for the store’s ‘elderly/vulnerable’ hour shopping slot, who came to my aid after I had tripped and fallen just before joining the queue.
Apart from bruising, a painful right hip, and a facial graze or two, I was fairly soon back on my feet.
I would particularly like to thank a wonderful, kind lady, a community nurse, I think, who, despite the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, unselfishly stayed on (I hope she did not lose her place in a lengthy queue) and physically assisted me to the store entrance where staff on duty took over. My thanks to them, too.
This incident, though tiresome, proves once again that there are some really nice people out there.
