A FORMER Portland shop, at Fortuneswell, is to be converted to create two flats.
A change of use has been agreed for No 69, to alter the former shop on the ground floor and to integrate an existing basement flat to create two homes.
Portland town council raised no objections to the changes and there were no public comments during the consultation.
The alterations, which are already underway, include widening a window at basement level on the south east side of the building; replacing a door and two windows with two French doors and two windows on the south west side at basement level and #replacing close boarded wooden fencing, measuring 1.0m in height, on the south west boundary of the property, with close boarded wooden fencing measuring 1.8m in height.
