Hi Readers, it’s William writing this week about being in lockdown at my parents house in Martinstown.

I am lucky as I can do some gardening and go for a walk with my mother every day. I enjoy walking different places. It was good to come to my parents and not be by myself in town in my flat, where I would only be able to go out to do shopping and go for walk somewhere like the Borough Gardens.

As I sit in the sitting room I am looking outside. It is sunny and there is a cold wind. I’m pleased it has been nice and sunny, as I like being outside and enjoy the sunshine. I especially like the lighter nights. It would be horrible if it was wet, and we’d have to stay inside just doing things like watching TV. At least the sun has got his hat on, in this time of crisis.

I like to sit in my parents garden on the patio doing wordsearches, or talking to the neighbours from the bedroom windows, where we keep our distance.

My friend Alison gave me a quiz to do name the football teams in the four different leagues. I am also learning to play the keyboard. All this is keeping me busy!

I miss seeing my friends at the Friendship Club but luckily I am texting some friends like Adam, and in contact with People First Dorset staff on messenger.

We have been clapping the NHS staff on Thursday nights too. It’s really good people are doing that. We must stay home, stay safe and support the NHS. Let us all stand together and all stick together – keeping at least two metres apart of course!
