I do not have a car.

During the lockdown I go out for a walk along the esplanade for twenty minutes.

Today, Wednesday 8th, I counted 100+ cars (I did not count lorries, vans, taxis etc).

I was shocked, to say the least, and I cannot believe that all of them were on urgent or essential business. In my own road a woman got out of her car followed by dog then they started to walk towards Lodmoor car park, dog carrying tennis ball. Was this an essential journey?

We have all been told not to make any unnecessary journeys. I hate to think what is going to happen over the coming Easter weekend.

I can almost hear some people saying, “Well it is only a day to the end of the lockdown. What harm will it do if we go out now?” I, for one, will not be going out for my walk on Saturday and Sunday. At least there will be no hotels, b+b etc open, A message to the idiots who think it is ok to go on unnecessary journey STAY AT HOME . You can look forward to Easter next year. Some will not be seeing this Easter let alone next. Think before you leave home is my journey necessary?
