A FAMILY have created a bright banner showing their support for key workers in the coronavirus crisis.

Lisa Willment of Mosterton inspired her children to help with the banner which says 'Thank You NHS' and is now on display outside their home.

She said: "We thought we would make a bright banner to show our appreciation to all the key workers still working and helping in this scary situation we are all in.

"It was something our children could join in with, which they all really enjoyed.

"We live on the main road in Mosterton so lots of people will be able to see it."

Mrs Willment was keen to show her support for the NHS as her sister and her husband both

work for the health service at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.

She added: "Also my sister's father-in-law is in hospital on the road to recovery from this nasty virus so we couldn’t be more grateful to the NHS.

"Another member of our family is a nurse at Yeovil District Hospital and is currently on standby to work in the intensive care unit when needed."

Mrs Willment's children Lucas, 8, is 'fire engine mad' and hand painted a fire engine onto the banner. His brother Alfie and sister Esme also lent their artistic talent.
