The total number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in Dorset has increased to 323.
Latest data from Public Health England (PHE) reveals there are 159 confirmed cases in the Dorset Council local authority area and 164 cases in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole local authority area. This brings the county total to 323.
These numbers relate to people who are being tested in hospitals, although PHE is beginning swab testing for key workers and their households.
As of 9am yesterday, 316,836 tests have concluded across the UK. Some individuals are tested more than once for clinical reasons.
256,605 people have been tested, of whom 73,758 tested positive.
As of 5pm on Thursday, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 8,958 have died.
