Coastguards have given a woman 'stern words' after calling for the second time in less than two weeks despite not being a 'genuine casualty'.
Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team joined colleagues at Wyke Coastguard CRT yesterday (Friday) just before 12.30pm to help a woman with a reported broken ankle near Pirates Lane, Wyke.
When they arrived, coastguards realised it was the same woman they rescued after she claimed to have fallen down a cliff on the evening of March 29. During that call a man was also there filming the rescue of the woman.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard CRT said: "The team, along with our colleagues Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team, were tasked to a female with a broken ankle in the vicinity of Pirates Lane. Once on scene it quickly became apparent that this was the same individual as per our tasking of Sunday, March 29.
"After some very stern words from both us and a paramedic she got up and walked home.
"Even if this had been a genuine casualty, in the location she was found, you would have to ask the question, under the current Government guidelines what you were doing there in the first place."
