DORSET Libraries is granting members of the public free access to its online library during the lockdown period.
People will have full access to Dorset Library’s online catalogue, including a wide range of e-books, e-magazines, e-newspapers, audio books, e-comics, from the comfort of their own homes.
As a result of the social distancing guidelines, libraries are closed until further notice, but avid readers can still get their fill through the e-library, which has experienced a 37 percent increase in registration since the coronavirus outbreak began. The e-library is accessible through all common devices, including smartphones, tablet and computers.
New members are also encouraged to make use of the online education services. Children and adults alike can take part in online courses, covering everything from maths and English to business, counselling and even hairdressing.
Dorset Libraries will also be hosting a number of online shared reading sessions for members to enjoy a communal reading experience with others. To keep up to date with this, check the website for updates.
