POLICE warned people not to lie to them in front of their children after stopping visitors from London and beyond in contravention of lockdown rules.
A spokesman for Dorset Traffic Cops said: "Back out on stops looking to maintain the COVID regulations.
"We’re at various places throughout the county and will be dealing with any offences identified.
"We’ve had a number of people so far from London and beyond looking to visit various landmarks.
"Yes, Durdle Door is beautiful, but sadly at the moment, however nice the weather is you can’t visit it.
"Also, please don’t lie to us in front of your children about your intended journey.
"What sort of example is that setting them?"
