I ADVISE everyone to take off any rings on their fingers before going through the anti-virus hand-washing ritual. For I lost my wedding ring down the open plug hole during a 20-second soapy hand-wash under a running tap.
Luckily, after managing to dismantle pipework, I found the ring trapped in the u-bend.
