Have some fun and get some fitness in while helping raise vital funds for a west Dorset food bank.

Husband and wife team, Andrew and Lucy Watkinson, who run fitness company FitAgain based in Lyme Regis, are encouraging people to take part in their bootcamp.

They will be hosting a live charity bootcamp on May 24 in order to raise money for Cupboard Love food bank in Bridport.

The class will be between 40 and 45 minutes and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Lucy said: “This will be a fantastic way to have some fun and get some fitness in whilst raising money for a good cause.

“We have a number of local companies supporting the event and everyone that does the class and donates, or just donates, will be entered into the raffle.

“We are very pleased to have the support of Bridport Round Table, who have agreed to match fund if we can raise £250.

“To take part in the event, we are asking people to make a donation via our Crowdfunder page, and all donations go directly to the food bank, which is seeing increased demand during this difficult time.”

The Crowdfunder page can be found at crowdfunder.co.uk/fitagain-live-bootcamp-for-cupboard-love

Andrew is a master PT and Lucy is a mental health nurse and they link the two in all the work they do.

Prior to lockdown, the pair were delivering personal training, wellbeing evenings and boxing courses for adults and children. They also run Dorset Fitness Retreat in Symondsbury.

Lucy added: “We have been keeping spirits and fitness up during isolation by giving free live fitness classes twice a week. We are now keen to turn this into something that can give back to the community.”

The class will be streamed on Facebook on the FitAgain page. It will also play live on Instagram at fitagainPT and also the FitAgain YouTube channel.
