Police arrested three people from the Newport area after seizing a 'significant' amount of suspected drugs.
Police officers, assisted by a police dog and the West Dorset County Lines Team stopped a vehicle on Portland Beach Road in Weymouth at about 2.40pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Two men, aged 22 and 24, and a 54-year-old woman were arrested. They have all been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "A significant quantity of suspected drugs was located and three persons from the Newport area were arrested at scene on suspicion of supply offences and continue to assist police with enquiries."
