A 15-MILE police chase involving armed officers, dogs and the NPAS helicopter led to the arrest of two people overnight on Tuesday.
Officers from Poole police attempted to stop a vehicle in Wareham but it sped away.
They lost sight of it temporarily but it was then sighted travelling at speed towards the Baker's Arms roundabout.
A spokesman for Poole police said: "Fortunately a number of units happened to be in the vicinity. The pursuit was safely concluded at New Road, West Parley by our highly trained armed response vehicle traffic officers with support of patrol, dogs and NPAS.
The vehicle and its occupants were searched but nothing was found. They were arrested for driving offences.
There were no injuries and no damage.
