I am outraged by how outraged people are that the (Black Lives Matter) protest from Weymouth Pavilion to Cafe Oasis happened.

Mostly complaining that birthdays haven't been celebrated due to Covid-19 and birthdays in the next few weeks may not be celebrated due to a second peak from taking a stand against racism.

Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was shot 8 times whilst she slept in her own bed by policemen, didn't celebrate her 27th birthday on the 6th of June, and she never will celebrate another birthday again. If the ideal that you may not get to celebrate a birthday in the next coming weeks frustrates you more than that injustice then you are part of the problem.

If you are more outraged by traffic being held up for less than 10 minutes and you are not more outraged by a policeman killing George Floyd by kneeling on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, then you are part of the problem.

These words enable people to continue being racist. The people that are angrily typing these words are attempting to quiet and shut up the protestors and the people that are standing up against racism.

Without us, there will be no change. There will be no justice. There will be no redemption for lives like Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and all other lives that have been lost by a system that's been built to protect them that can never be diminished whilst people are actively fighting against the fight for change.

If there happens to be a second peak of Covid-19 then I hope that it's because people are going out and protesting in PPE and trying to maintain social distancing measures as much as possible and not because beaches like Durdle Door and Bournemouth beach were packed full of people weekend after weekend. I hope that it's because people were fighting a cause that should have been fought a long time before this pandemic.

I would like to add that I was part of the march and I can vouch that all stewards, organisers and attendees were wearing face masks and standing 2m apart as much where possible, most were wearing gloves and all were completely peaceful.
