A number of gardens in Dorset are opening for public visits.

The National Garden Scheme has announced that several of their gardens are reopening with a pre-booking system in place.

There are seven gardens reopening in Dorset which the public are able to visit from June 11.

Dorset open gardens include Frome Vauchurch Farm, Holworth Farmhouse, Stable Court in Chalmington, The Old Rectory in Litton Cheney, The Old Rectory in Pulham, Rampisham Gardens and 24 Carlton Road in Weymouth.

In order to comply with government guidelines, those interested in paying a visit to the gardens can book a ticket through the National Garden Scheme website. Visitors will then be able to pick a time slot from the garden of their choice. The numbers of visitor allowed per time slot will vary depending on the size of the chosen garden.

Anyone not able to visit in person can enjoy the gardens through a virtual tour, also available on the website.

The National Garden Scheme are opening 140 gardens nationally between June 11 and June 17.

Through the reopening of these gardens, the organisation is hoping to raise funds for its Help Support Our Nurses campaign, which currently supports the Queen’s Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Hospice UK.
