COASTGUARDS were alerted to a boat drifting in Weymouth Bay with three people on board.
A spokesman for Wyke Regis Coastguard Rescue Team said: "At 17:41 (on Sunday) the team was paged to a RHIB drifting in Weymouth Bay.
"We made our way to PGL at Osmington and gained access to the beach where it was found in the shore break.
"The three occupants were safely ashore. Weymouth Lifeboat ILB had been on passage but was re-tasked to an incident at Lulworth.
"The RHIB was pulled above the high water mark and made safe.
"One occupant was treated for the effects of the cold. Once confirmation of a taxi to transport the three home was received the team stood down."
