I AM writing on behalf of the Boyt/Boyett YDNA Project whose aim is to identify the origins of Thomas Boyt who was granted land in Virginia in 1697. The project has UK Boyt participants whose ancestry can be traced to Dorset, all of whom have DNA matches to the descendants in USA of Thomas Boyt.
The project is looking for male participants and especially those who currently live or have historic links with the Purbeck area as our research is now focused on that area but we would welcome contact from anyone with the surname Boyt. Anyone interested in participating or who would like more information can contact me.
