HERE'S a painter's imaginative look at the Portland lighthouse.
Jenny Williams, from Weymouth, took up painting when her husband passed away in 2011, seeing it as a therapeutic way to process her grief.
She has taken a particular interest in aboriginal artwork and has mimicked that style in her most recent painting, as well as many others.
Mrs Williams said: “Lockdown has been a very disturbing time for everyone and I wanted to create a little light in the darkness for myself and anyone else who cared to look at my painting.
“What better way to do that than with a painting of Portland Lighthouse.
"I am so lucky to live on such a beautiful coastline. I must admit I am very happy with the final result but it has been quite a journey exploring which different elements to put in and how.
"I really enjoy doing these painting and using lovely vibrant colours and I hope it brings a little light into the lives of the viewers.”
