AFTER three months of lockdown it’s no wonder our high streets look tatty and neglected.
Landlords can’t, or won’t, spruce up their properties, but we residents can do our best to brighten up our own houses and gardens and encourage the bigger property owners to plant (and tend) displays of bright colours.
At the moment Brewery Square (Dorchester) and Queen Mother Square (Poundbury) are strikingly colour-free.
Incidentally, Dorchester’s Town Council-run Borough Gardens have been ablaze all along and hugely appreciated.
