A 14-YEAR-OLD Bournemouth schoolboy who damaged a lock to steal a Beryl bike has appeared in court.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted causing £145.68 worth of damage to the bike's locking mechanism when he appeared before Dorset Youth court.
He also pleaded guilty to stealing the bike in Bournemouth. The offences were committed on January 10.
He was ordered to pay compensation of £145.68.
