There has been a crash on the A37 this morning
A section of the A37 has been blocked following a serious crash involving a car and a motorbike.
The A37 Dorchester Road southbound carriageway has been blocked and there were reports of queueing traffic in the area due to a crash between Hoopers Lane (Stoford) to the Ryme Intrinseca turn off (Netherton).
Avon and Somerset Police are at the scene, with a spokesman saying: "The road is likely to be closed for some time so please avoid the area if you can and use alternative routes."
Travel Somerset said the road was likely to remain closed for six hours.
