People heading down to Weymouth Beach this weekend will be able to make use of a much-loved attraction, as long as the weather holds up.

Weymouth Beach Pedalos and Kayaks have announced they will be back as from Saturday, July 4, subject to weather conditions.

The company is making its big comeback after being locked down like the rest of the country with a brand new fleet of 30 pedalos.

Trading Standards and the Weymouth Town Council have given the go-ahead for them to be operational and to abide by government guidelines, but there will be a number of procedures in place to protect staff and customers without dampening the enjoyment for everyone.

They will be taking card payments (although cash will still be accepted), equipment and life jackets will be disinfected before and after customers use them, staff have been provided with face masks if they choose to wear them, an area around the stations will be marked as no entry to make it easier to abide by social distancing and any forming queues will abide by social distancing rules. Hand sanitiser will also be available.
