A MAN and his dog had to be cut free after getting trapped in thick undergrowth on Dorset's Jurassic coast.
The man called coastguards for help after getting lost at the White Nothe area near Ringstead Bay yesterday morning.
A spokesman for Wyke Regis Coastguard said: "The National Maritime Operations Centre NMOC was contacted by a gentleman just before 11am.
"He and his four legged friend managed to get themselves lost and stuck in thick undergrowth towards White Nothe. "An initial search from above was started but the app What Three Words located the casualty.
"A team walked in with cutting equipment and extricated the pair before walking them back to safety.
"It's going to be another gorgeous weekend - if you do need us or any of the other teams then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
